Green thumb Mark wins top award

McCarthy Catholic Trade Training Centre student Mark Doughty has won the prestigious school-based apprentice of the year prize at the NSW Training Awards.

Mark said he was proud to win the award and represent western Sydney.

“I take great satisfaction in the transformative nature of my work. Comparing my before and after images drives me to gain more experience and knowledge,” he said.

The NSW Training Awards are the peak prizes for Vocational Education and Training, recognising and celebrating achievement, excellence and innovation in the training sector in NSW.
